The Longcut Saw is specifically designed for cutting long/rip cuts through the green hollowcore slabs. The saw cuts directly behind the casting machine in the wet concrete which gives a faster cut than a standard bed saw.

The Saw travels using a simple hydraulic drive powered with the blade motor by a single cylinder diesel engine. There is a measurement device so that the operator can position the blade accurately anywhere across the width of the slab to achieve the required cut.

The cost per cut is significantly cheaper than using a multi-angle saw as it recycles old/worn diamond saw blades. There is no need for any water which means it is very clean to use.
The long/rip cuts are not as clean as you would get with the multi-angle saw but the cut side of the slab is concealed on the finished building by grouts and screeds.

Our saws are designed to be used in an aggressive working environment. They are extremely robust and very easy to maintain with off the shelf spare parts. They are reliable machines ensuring minimal production downtime.
