Bed Cleaner

Description

The Bed Cleaner is a multi-purpose machine that has been designed to speed up all the labour intensive activities in the manual preparation of the casting beds ready for hollowcore production.

The Bed Cleaner is powered by a water cooled, four cylinder, low emission diesel engine. It is hydraulically controlled by the operator who sits within the safety of the protective cabin. He sits sideways on a sprung seat in the cabin so that he has a clear view in both directions of the casting bed.

The Spiroll Bed Cleaner has three rotating brushes that clean both the bed pallet and the chamfer rails. We can provide additional brushes if required to clean the gulleys between the beds. It cleans the bed at a speed of 25 metres per minute.

The Bed Cleaner sprays mould oil/release agent whilst travelling in the reverse direction. A light even coat is applied by the six spray nozzles to the entire width of the bed one pass at 40 metres per minute.

The Bed Cleaner is also designed for simultaneous multi-strand pulling. The hydraulic strand carrier can pull up to 10 x 12.5mn prestressing strands at a time at a speed of 40 metres per minute.

The Bed Cleaner design incorporates an interchangeable curing cover trolley. This device enables the machine to both lay and pick-up individual production bed insulation covers which assist in accelerating the curing time of the slabs. We can supply the insulation covers and roller drums for individual beds as an optional extra. They can be supplied in any length and fitted onto the cover roller drums supplied with the bed cleaner.

The base cloth is made with a high tenacity polyester, coated under constant tension in both warp/weft direction & throughout. The surface has a thick layer of high performance surface polymer over the surface of the yarns. They are resistant to mildew and dirt and are anti-adhesion of atmospheric pollution. They have three times less elongation than conventional fabric.
